You have six months before the layoffs take place. Your responsibility is to implement a program that will enhance the employees’ careers by making them more marketable. While this is an unfortunate occurrence, it does occur. Great leaders take the necessary steps. Discuss your ideas for this type of program. What does it need to include? If I was the middle manager and charged with the task to let the staff know that they are going to be laid off due to the new budget cut, I would be completely honest to them. Honesty is essential, especially when it could endanger a person’s livelihood.
For the program, I would give the employees the qualifications for each task that they must have in order to keep their job. This program will only last for two months out of the six remaining months. This will still give those who were laid off time to still find another job within those last four months.

The one topic that I will choose was in unit five. I have learned so much when I was making the fake email.This assignment has taught me how to remain professional and how to approach situations professionally. When I soon become an assistant manager, this will teach me how to communicate with my coworkers when they are doing something wrong. It wil help me as well when I am in a detailed discussion with my higher managers.

Intergenerational kinship networks and extended family member are very important to me. I am lucky that my great-grandmother is still alive and have been able to build a relationship with her still to this day. I love hearing her stories and be able to understand how her life has changed and been over the years. It is also interesting to see how history has repeated itself. For example, a lot of my great-uncles were the military and law enforcement, which is the same line of work I am in. It is interesting to see how likes, dislikes, traditions have been passed down over the years and across the extended family. Although, my extended family may have different tendencies due to geographical location differences, we often have similar views and traditions based on our generational connection. I think it is important to learn about our families’ traditional past in order to make decisions and be taught some of the trials and tribulations our family has faced. It is usually pretty ironic how much history repeats itself even simply through family ties.
