We will focus on the Cognitive Framework as the final chapter of study. Particularly, we need to examine Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligences. Gardner was concerned with the single labeling of intelligence that is typically measured: verbal-linguistic and logical-mathematical (in other words reading and writing). Instead, Gardner proposed that there are nine intelligences:

Logical-mathematical
Musical-rhythmic
Visual-spatial
Bodily-kinesthetic
Interpersonal
Intrapersonal
Naturalistic
Existential (recently added)
ASSIGNMENT: Perhaps you see your intelligence under one of these categories? Please read the article in attach file about MI Theory to find an article that describes each intelligence, and also provides a refutation to the entire theory. Then write a one page, single-spaced essay in which you identify and explain your intelligence and then state the reasons that you agree or disagree with Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences.
